"What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us.
What we have done
for others and the world remains immortal."
- Albert Pine
Fulfilling the needs of the uninsured and working poor for reproductive health care and therapeutic counseling is the driving force behind Women's Clinic and Family Counseling Center. Founded in 1972, Women's Clinic is a dual service provider that offers quality care in a safe and non-judgmental environment. We believe that all people, regardless of their ability to pay, should receive the quality care they need to plan their lives and families.
There are many ways you can support Women’s Clinic and Family Counseling Center:
- Donate your time by volunteering!
- If you are a business you can donate items to be used in the clinic!
- Maximize your impact on the services we can provide by making a financial donation!
Your donation to Women's Clinic and Family Counseling Center can help to create new programs or help us to expand hours and offer the broadest choice of appointments possible. Your support can cover costs for a patient who does not qualify for one of our low cost programs, but still suffers financial hardship. Your contribution can truly and positively impact the life of someone in need. You CAN make a difference!
Perhaps you don’t think you have the resources to instigate positive changes in our community – but consider this! Between 1955 and 1992, the number of cervical cancer deaths in the United States declined by 74% - the main reason for this life-saving reduction was the increased use of the Pap smear. A Pap smear is a screening procedure that permits diagnosis of pre-invasion and early invasive cancer. Early detection is the most powerful weapon we have in the battle against cancer. Unlike other cancers, conditions leading to cervical cancer can be detected before invasive cancer develops. With appropriate evaluation and follow-up, these conditions are nearly 100% treatable.
Your donation of only $50 could fund a Pap smear that in turn could SAVE A LIFE! The more you can contribute the greater your impact on the services we provide and the greater number of uninsured and working poor people we can help!
All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowable by law.
